Personally, I have many friends who went to diploma schools and based on their experiences, I suggest you these options to choose from after completing your diploma, B Tech or BSc Engineering Tech in civil  engineering :

  1. Continue studies in an engineering college: If you wish to continue your studies, you can seek for admission in engineering colleges. Many government colleges give admission to diploma students as a sophomore and a graduate degree at the end of the final year.
  2. Seek for government jobs: Many government jobs for core engineering are open for diploma holders and thus you can take a job.
  3. Part-time degree: If you start working in a private construction firm (you can try for it as well) or even in a government job, take admission in a college which offers Part-Time Degree Course  (PTDC) so that you can earn a degree while earning. Having a bachelor's degree will help you with promotions.
